Gossamer Blue | Make-up?

What a lovely new line from Paige Evans/Pink Paislee!  I received the Bits and Pieces kit from Gossamer Blue this month and knew I wanted to use those fabulous patterned 6x6 papers to back this cut file from Just Nick Studio.

I used another 6x6 paper and cut apart a few of the framed sayings to use as embellishments.

Needless to say, when my girly showed me her make-up job I just about freaked!  Thank goodness it was washable marker ;)

Gossamer Blue | Hey Girl

I find myself getting inspired by my Gossamer Blue Design Team mates on a regular basis.  One of my all-time-love-everything-she-makes designers is Eunyoung Lee.  There is nothing but good stuff coming from Eunyoung, I hope you'll click over to her blog and take a peek.

I wanted to capture the light and airy feeling of Eunyoung's pages, so I went for some patterned paper strips and a bit of stitching this time.

I also admire how Eunyoung uses embellishments with a whimiscal touch.  She adds random elements to a page and they look completely planned and purposeful.  She is truly a talented scrapper.

I used a mix of the Main, Main Add-on and Bits and Pieces kits on this page.

Pretty Little Studio | Love

I created this layout to use on the Pretty Little Studio blog, and then realized I had already completed my requirements for September and didn't really have a place for this page.  How does that even happen?

I guess I just got so excited to use more items from the You & Me Love Story line!

I started by cutting out these triangles into banner shapes and machine-stitching them to my background paper (a Gossamer Blue exclusive).  I then added Ruby, Pretty in Pink and Sweetheart Shimmerz to break up the gray and white stripes a bit.

I used the same sprays on some Jillibean Soup wood veneer shapes.

I made this teeny tiny banner by cutting up one of the thumbnail images on the PLS packaging.  Isn't it so cute and dainty?

My paper warped a bit from the gesso and mixed media, but it will flatten out in the page protector!

Love (think of it like a verb).

Hip Kit Club | Dream

I was so inspired by this lovely blue color in the Hip Kit Club August kits.  I absolutely love the color mixed with soft pink and pale peach, there's a piece of card stock from the Dear Lizzy line that guided my choices when I watercolored these feathers.

I started the page by drawing the feathers with my Silhouette, watercoloring and then hand-stitching the border of each feather with pale grays and a soft peach color.

I embellished with the exclusive ephemera pack by Hip Kit Club, pulling out all the items with these delicious blues.

The end result is a soft and dreamy layout.

Gossamer Blue | Best Friends

Happy Reveal Day!  Who wants to get their hands on the fabulous Cute Girl line from Crate Paper? This girl!

What I love about this line, besides the colors and overall cuteness level, is there are so many icons and every icon absolutely adorable.

These kitties?  Made me smile.

I started by cutting a few of the scallop strips and then stitched them to my background.  I added my secondary title in this area, along with a few chipboard sticker kitties and flat stickers.

I printed the photo strip at home using the PicFrame app.  I did additional stitching to the title card from one of the cut apart sheets, adding in gold washi from my stash and a gold clip from Bits and Pieces.  I love that chipboard tassel banner from the Main Add-on.

I didn't want to waste the fussy cut scallops so I repeated this element at the top of the page using the scraps.  

Can you tell I finally figured out how to use my sewing machine?  Haha!  Look for lots of machine stitching on my projects this month.
