12x12 | You Are Capable

|
So I've kind of fallen in love.

With sanding and spray painting.

My mother's day was spent sanding and painting a few odds and ends.  I took this photo while waiting for paint to dry.

I started with dry brushing white acrylic paint, then added in some Shimmerz.  Next came all those One Canoe Two butterfly rub-ons.

I have been wanting to kill this collection as I just had some odds and ends left.  This layout just about got me there.

I also added in some cork from my stash.  The majority of these items came from an older Gossamer Blue kit.

Thanks to Tim Holtz for having the perfect words in his sticker book.

Enjoy it all.

12x12 | Little Miss Sparkle & Shine

|
This girl.

Full of life, love, and I'm pretty sure.... glitter.

I used Thickers and alpha's from my stash on this Felicity Jane layout, I love it when I pull from my stash and use stuff up!

Lots of fussy cut florals on this layout, it was the first project I made with the June kits.

I added some Shimmerz over clear gesso to start the page, adding in a bit of Heidi Shine gold as well.

Sparkle, baby.

Another page with the lovely June kits from Felicity Jane :)

I used Shimmerz spray inks over clear gesso, making sure to really dab up the excess for a super light, watercolor-y feel.

I love white space.  On layouts, in photos.... makes for the perfect spot to put your title.  Totally digging those alpha's included in the June kit.

I think I added fussy cut florals to every. single. page.

My paper get a bit warped from the mixed media so the right side curled a bit.  No worries, it will flatten out in the page protector.

Go document your bestie.

12x12 | Lovely Girl

I have had these Prima stamps for ages, and have barely used them.  I've got several others and I'm trying to incorporate them into my regular crafting.  It drives me nuts to have a product in my stash that I'm not utilizing.

I used Prima Tropical watercolors, the colors are sooo pretty.  I added in a bit of Heidi Shine gold as well.

I used primarily One Canoe Two for this layout, with a few die cuts and corks from my stash.

There's those Thickers I've had forever.  So happy to use them up!

And there's my muse, my Miss Q.

See the beauty.

Hey there crafty friends, I've got a new page using the June kits from Felicity Jane!

I adore white and black polka dots.  They make me incredibly happy, add in some florals and I'm done, game over, kill me now.

I was drawn to the June kits because of the gorgeous floral paper, and the colors are the perfect mix.

The scale of the die cuts and chipboard pieces are spot on.

Teeny tiny flair.  Swoon.

This is my favorite of the four pages I made with the kits before totally killing them (except a couple die cuts and 2 chipboard pieces).

Happy!

xoxo

Gossamer Blue | Getaway

|
This layout is about the time my girly and I had the most delicious breakfast in bed.  Apologies in advance for the crazy puffy eyes in the photo ;)  This is how the mama looks when she has to share a bed with her kiddo and husband.  HA!

I used the Gossamer Blue June Main Kit to create this page, starting with the awesome ticket paper that I cut into strips and sewed to my background paper.

I used a few other Main Kit papers to mat the photo, then added the large die cut right on my photo for the title.

I left the right 1/3 of the layout as white space, keeping the chipboard and die cut embellishments above and below the photo area.  Doing this keeps all the embellishments going in the same direction so to speak, from top to bottom of the page.

I love the rubber embellishments in the June kits, that little heart is just adorable.

We went to our first-ever PBR event on this trip, and it was AWESOME.  Look for some cute cowboy photos to be documented soon!

Good stuff,
xoxo

Gossamer Blue | June Weekend

|
As you probably already know, Gossamer Blue has added a few new kits to their line up.  The Planner Kit has been going strong for a few months and I just wanted to share how I use it for my scrapbook pages.

The GB kits are all-exclusive and brand new each month, which means the type of embellishments we receive change with each kit.  June's Planner Kit has a ton (and I mean a ton) of die cuts.  I pulled out all of the beach/ocean themed die cuts from the pack and was left with a gazillion pieces to use on my page.  The round June label and the weekend banner were the inspiration for this page and the photos I chose.

I mat the two photos and decided their placement, then added all these die cuts along the right side, and around the photo, on my layout.

Included in the mix are some cork and rubber embellishments, plus some enamel dots, to give a bit of variety and texture among all the die cuts.

I think the page turned out quite fun and is a good documentation of my girl's first ride on the ferris wheel with her Uncle K.

Having fun!
xoxo
