This page was created with the Main Kit only, and I added a bit of white acrylic paint to the background cardstock.

Gossamer Blue | So Silly

I've got another August kits layout from Gossamer Blue today!  This time I used some texture past mixed with the lovely Distress Ink from the Planner Kit to add some texture and color to my background.

I used a life pages cards and tons of die cuts to create this page.  I hope you like it!

Gossamer Blue | This Magic Moment

Hello and Happy Monday!

I have a new Gossamer Blue page using the August Life Pages and Main Kits.

There are a ton of great word strips and embellishments in the August kits, and I wanted to use as many as I could on this layout.

There's a great mix of chipboard, acetate, die cuts and stickers among the kits.  Totally worth splurging to get all three!

Of course I had to add a banner with the page flags and machine-stitching.  I used the word stickers from the Life Pages kits to add to my journaling.

Gossamer Blue | Hooray

I've missed hand-stitching.

It's been a while, so I picked a few number 5's on this awesome patterned paper and added red thread to highlight my girly's 5th birthday.

I fussy cut the awesome blue paper, I love how fresh the florals are and wanted to sprinkle them on this layout.  The birthday party theme was Fairies and Gnomes, how perfect was that paper for this page?

I only used the July Main Kit to make this page.  It has everything  you need to make some awesome layouts:  chipboard, tags, epoxy shapes and delicious patterned papers.

I added the title right on the photo with my Tiny Attacher.

The full layout pic isn't the best, but I think you can see how great the July Main Kit is.

Gossamer Blue | So Many Kisses

One of my favorite things to do is mix two patterned papers as my background.  The diagonal red stripe paper really drew me in, but on it's own it was too much red.  I decided to break up the pattern with the ledger style paper, and add in one of the super fun Life Pages cards.

I trimmed down the LP card to be the same size as my photo (a bit smaller than 4x6), then machine stitched around the perimeter of the card.

I tucked fussy cut flowers behind a chipboard circle, then added in a few other embellishments found in the July Main and Life Pages kits.

Tons of chipboard, alpha's and stickers are included in the title and top half of the page.

Those kisses from my girl sure did make me laugh.  She's such a silly :)

Gossamer Blue | PomPoms

Happy Wednesday!

The July kits from Gossamer Blue are a refreshing change, lots of bold colors and patterns, mixed with a few lights and brights.  Just perfect for making a 4th of July layout!

I began my page with a dry brushing of white acrylic paint, then created the fringe strips using two patterned papers from the Main Kit.

I used additional papers in blues and red to mat the photo, then created embellishment clusters above and below the picture.  I found tons of embellishments in the Planner Kit that worked great for this cheerful, summery layout.

I love big alpha's and I cannot lie ;)  I mixed in more embellishments in the title, including labels, epoxy dots and die cuts.

I think those polka dot clouds are ADORABLE.

To finish the page I splattered on some white spray ink.

Gossamer Blue | Getaway

This layout is about the time my girly and I had the most delicious breakfast in bed.  Apologies in advance for the crazy puffy eyes in the photo ;)  This is how the mama looks when she has to share a bed with her kiddo and husband.  HA!

I used the Gossamer Blue June Main Kit to create this page, starting with the awesome ticket paper that I cut into strips and sewed to my background paper.

I used a few other Main Kit papers to mat the photo, then added the large die cut right on my photo for the title.

I left the right 1/3 of the layout as white space, keeping the chipboard and die cut embellishments above and below the photo area.  Doing this keeps all the embellishments going in the same direction so to speak, from top to bottom of the page.

I love the rubber embellishments in the June kits, that little heart is just adorable.

We went to our first-ever PBR event on this trip, and it was AWESOME.  Look for some cute cowboy photos to be documented soon!

Gossamer Blue | June Weekend

As you probably already know, Gossamer Blue has added a few new kits to their line up.  The Planner Kit has been going strong for a few months and I just wanted to share how I use it for my scrapbook pages.

The GB kits are all-exclusive and brand new each month, which means the type of embellishments we receive change with each kit.  June's Planner Kit has a ton (and I mean a ton) of die cuts.  I pulled out all of the beach/ocean themed die cuts from the pack and was left with a gazillion pieces to use on my page.  The round June label and the weekend banner were the inspiration for this page and the photos I chose.

I mat the two photos and decided their placement, then added all these die cuts along the right side, and around the photo, on my layout.

Included in the mix are some cork and rubber embellishments, plus some enamel dots, to give a bit of variety and texture among all the die cuts.

I think the page turned out quite fun and is a good documentation of my girl's first ride on the ferris wheel with her Uncle K.

Gossamer Blue | Snapshots

Happy Reveal Day!

I have been creating like crazy with the all-exclusive Gossamer Blue kits!  The June kits are packed with bright and happy colors and I've got several projects to share with you this month.

This page was made with the June Life Pages and Main kits; I started by cutting down the ticket paper to make individual tickets, then used Life Pages cards to mat my Instax photos.

I used my sewing machine to stitch through the tickets, then added a die cut and some chipboard embellishments above the top photo.

The bottom photo got a puffy sticker, chipboard, a tag and another trimmed out ticket.

This layout was looking a little too simple for me, so I cut a few strips of the main kit papers and stitched them along the bottom of the page.

Nothing too fancy, but it captures the feeling of my last girls night out with our local MOMS Club.

It was a bittersweet evening, but as the girly grows the things I'm involved with change.  Next stop: Kindergarten for the girl and PTA for me ;)
