Hey Guys, how about a new mixed media layout? I used acrylic inks and lots of splatters to make this page, brand-new on the Pretty Little Studio blog today :)
I'm sharing a new page on the Emma's Paperie blog today, this time using the Metropolitan Girl line from Carta Bella Paper.
I used lots of fun foam to pop up my elements and give dimension to the page. I added in a bit of tangled thread and some black ink splatters for additional texture.
Hello! I've got another Christmas layout on the Pretty Little Studio blog, this time I created a wreath and embellished with the adorable Tinsel Town collection.
Well hi, it's time for a new Gossamer Blue layout!
I fussy cut this large floral piece from one of the 1 Canoe 2 patterned papers in the January Gossamer Blue Main Kit, then adhered it to this perfect polka dot paper.
I love the graphic mix of florals and dots :)
I kept the embellishing to a minimum; a few stickers that I added fun foam to for dimension.
I used my sewing machine to add a bit of stitching and added tangled thread tucked in behind the photo and embellishments. Love that look of random threads.
I added the X O clips to the white space of the photo. I really like adding elements on the photo when I can.
The love you forever stickers have special meaning; this is something my sister has always said to my nieces and nephews, and now she says it to Q. You know the book, "I'll Love You Forever,"??? My sister discovered it many years ago and gave it to one of my nieces. It's become a favorite in my family.
I made a quick walk-thru of my Traveler's Notebook so far.....
I plan to use Gossamer Blue Life Pages and Planner kits, along with a few items from my stash as I need them (doilies, washi, die cuts, etc.).
These were die cuts I made with Maya Road geo feather die for another project. I also added in labels using my Dynamo label maker, and stamps from older GB kits.
This page is GB January kit items plus gold alphas from my stash.
I purchased a mega date stamp from Studio Calico last year, using it again this year because it's so fun :) More GB January kit items.....
This is a sheet of patterned paper that I fussy cut to show the ups and downs I've been feeling about Jamberry, adding in enamels to further that feeling on the page.
Hey there, I'm sharing a new 12x12 layout over on the Maya Road blog, please head on over there to read how this layout came together. This was the first time I used dies to cut fun foam to create my own dimensional embellishments. There's no turning back to pop dots now ;)
Hi friends! I have a new layout using the January kits from Gossamer Blue. There is a mix of products from the new brand, One Canoe Two, and Crate Paper Heart Day.
I started the page by cutting the background paper and machine-stitching it back together so both sides of the paper are used. This is one of my favorite ways to show both sides of a patterned paper.
I used tissue paper from my stash to mat the photo, adding in a few pieces of the same patterned paper and a Life Pages card behind it.
To embellish I used some of the awesome cork pieces, mixing them with stickers and Thickers for the title. I also added some machine stitching to a few of the embellishments.
We received an awesome ephemera pack from The Reset Girl in the Life Pages kit, and I am hooked on her products!
Tangled threads were tucked here and there to tie in the stitching.
The wonderful gals over at Clique Kits have given me a December Wonderland kit to giveaway! You can check out the entire kit HERE. I shot a quick walk-thru video of the kit contents below.

I'm announcing the winner on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.
In a feeble attempt to get organized, I came across some Illustrated Faith products sitting with some Fancy Pants embellishments. The colors flowed together quite nicely so I decided to put together a quick page.
I have a new mixed media layout on the Pretty Little Studio blog HERE. I would love it if you would click on over and read how this page came together.
Hey! I made a new video using some Bella Blvd Illustrated Faith + Clique Kits items, watch below.
This is 100% a Missy Whidden style layout, I adore Missy's work and credit her with my use of mixed media products on my pages.
Some papers and embellishments came from the December Clique Kits, other products were items in my stash.
The white gesso helps draw the eye in to the center of the page where the photo rests, and the splatters just add some fun to this page. The Illustrated Faith products are so colorful and whimsical!
I have some photos of my craft room taken by my friend Tracy! She came over the other day, set up her fancy lights and took pix so I could share my messy/cluttered/real life craft room with all of you. I have a write-up about my space on the Gossamer Blue blog today.
It's not fancy or super organized, but it's all mine and it works so well for me. My BFF Winif's husband and FIL built my standing desk and hung all the shelves (provided by my MIL), and also custom-fit the hand-me-down armoire with shelves for all my Gossamer Blue kits and other paper collections.
I finished my GB DM the other day and filmed a super-quick walk thru video, please check it out below!
As I mention in the video, working in a Traveler's Notebook for the first time was a big experiment; I absolutely love this format and will continue some kind of TN in 2017. I love the size, I love the randomness of it, I love just about everything about TN's!
I used a mix of the GB December Memories kit and the December Life Pages kit for this project. Click the words to find the December Memories kit in the GB shop (LP is sold out). I added in some inks and washi tape from my stash to round out the album.
I opted to only go thru Christmas Day, and didn't include a ton of photos from Christmas because I plan to scrap those on regular layouts.
This is by far my favorite December Memories kit that I've done so far. I found it much more freeing than a daily album. I did a blog post for GB on my approach, and you can find that HERE.
Thanks for watching my video, I am hard at work creating projects for CHA, my first time creating for the big trade show! I can't wait to share those projects but it won't be until after the show is over at the end of this month.
I'll be back soon, but it will be a little light on the posts around here for the next week or so.
