Hip Kit Club Doer

|
Hello and Happy Friday!  I took a few days off during our Spring Break and I'm back with a brand-spankin-new layout I made with the March Kit from Hip Kit Club.

There are a ton of beautiful exclusive papers in the scrapbook kit this month, but for this page I stuck with the Pinkfresh line; I have had this photo of my girly from a few years back just sitting around but never scrapped it.  I think the colors in the picture were throwing me off.  I could have printed it in black and white, but I think I knew in the back of my mind that the right set of papers would come my way and I could keep the photo in color.

I started the page by stamping the Pinkfresh stamp from the March Color Kit on the background; I rotated the stamp and did a few impressions right in the center of the page as a mat for the photo.  I hand cut a few of the Pinkfresh papers in a banner shape to use behind the photo as well.

I fussy cut the birds and trees from another Pinkfresh paper to use as embellishments.  I used Shimmerz paints from the Color Kit plus a few from my stash to add pops of color here and there on my page.  I also dabbed some paint on the fussy cut pieces.  The coral color is from my stash.

I love those washi strips included in the scrapbook kit this month, I've used several already :)  The letter Q and the DOER square are from Basic Grey.

A few paint splatters and some random paper strips and this page was complete.  I hope you have a lovely weekend!
